Growing up in Birmingham, yet having a family history of boating on Lake Martin going back to the 1950's, I spent the vast majority of my childhood at the lake with many years being all summer long as well as the majority of holidays. I eventually moved to the lake full time while finishing high school. At one point in time, my family had 5 Russell Cabins all down Wicker Point Rd. Learning to ski at age 4, wakeboard at 5, and slalom at 6 all in the same Slough where my family did the same, I would say is a “true lake tradition”.

 

After studying boats my entire childhood, I decided to pursue a career in boat sales. At the Age of 18, it was tough to get a job in the sales sector of the industry. In my mind was, If I am going to sell boats, why not go to the water sports capital of the world? So after being crazy persistent I moved to Orlando and was taken under the wing of the consecutive  #1 Malibu/Axis sales guy in the country. After selling Malibu and Axis products all over the state of Florida for two and half years, I then went to work for Miami Nautique International, which serves as the International Nautique dealer for all of Latin America along with South Florida of course. While working in Miami, I was able to obtain my Florida Yacht Brokers License which transpired a different avenue of sales. It is pretty cool to say that I have sold boats all over the U.S. along with multiple different countries.

In the winter of 2018, I started working for The Ridge Marina, owned by Russell Marine. While successfully selling boats on the lake that I am deeply passionate about, I decided to go full time in assistance with the creation of what is now the largest marketing agency in the marine industry, known as the ‘Nautical Network’. From performance boats running 152 MPH to being invited on Yachts up to 273' in length, it is needless to say that I have spent countless hours on some of the most beastly as well as the most elegant boats on the planet!

 

In 2021 I met the love of my life who went out on of limb with me and moved to Sarasota, Florida for one of the most exquisite Job titles I’ve carried. As a Private Jet Broker, working for International Aircraft Marketing & Sales, the largest Aircraft Sales Firm in the world, I’ve dealt with the big dogs. Learning how to sell and manage the top 1% in the world gave me an entire different book and angle of knowledge of not only sales, but also the world and life. In the first year of Selling Private Aircraft, I managed to sell 13 planes and consistently carried 12-16 listings at a time, Which were both successfully increased the following year. In 2023 my Wife, Justine and I welcomed our son, Beau, into the world who is a water loving, traveling wild man! While dealing with high end business owners, I consistently found myself carrying on conversations about their boats instead of aircraft, which showed my passion for boating at a deeper level. After realizing the importance of family and the assistance needed, yet a long distance apart, we decided to make a decision to move closer to all of our relatives.

 

In 2024 I saw a need for a knowledgeable used boat brokerage/consignment service with in-depth insight of the boating industry as an entirety. I decided to open Lake Martin Boat Sales to offer the best and most accurate used boat brokerage and consignment service around. As Most dealers do not “push” consignments, they take the leads and sell their inventory, which is what is costing them money. Makes sense, right? Well, That’s were I come into play with a sea of resources! Whether you are looking to buy, sell, or trade, I have endless knowledge, professionalism, experience, and passion for it all. From day 1, I work for you, 24/7, to get the job done with as much satisfaction and rapport as possible. While at the same time, my process is as simple and streamlined as can be to put you at ease. In return, it allows you to retain your focus on your everyday life without the extra stressor.
